Publish the app so it has a public https URL (Lovable's *.lovable.app, Bolt/Netlify, Replit Deployments or Vercel for v0, or your custom domain), then paste that URL into a URL to App converter. Before building, replace any Google sign-in popup with email login or a Custom Tab flow, make sure deep routes don't 404 on reload, and add app-mode CSS to hide web-only bits.
Use a URL that won't change
Preview links from AI builders change with every iteration. Publish/deploy and use the stable production URL — ideally your own domain, because the app's start URL is baked in and changing it needs a rebuild. A custom domain also lets you set up App Links later.
The three fixes AI-built apps usually need
1. Authentication
Most templates use Supabase or Firebase with “Continue with Google”. That fails in the app with disallowed_useragent. Ask your AI builder: “Add email + password and email one-time-code login, and hide the Google button when the user agent contains '; wv)'.” Details in Google sign-in in URL apps.
2. Routing
Single-page apps break if the host returns 404 for /dashboard on reload. Most hosts have an SPA fallback setting; on Netlify it's a _redirects rule /* /index.html 200.
3. Mobile layout
AI builders often design desktop-first. Check every screen at 360px wide: tables, sidebars and modals are usual culprits. Prompt: “Make every page work at 360px wide with a bottom navigation bar on mobile.”
Supabase and Firebase keep working
Your backend doesn't care that the page is in an app. Sessions live in local storage or cookies inside the WebView and persist between launches. Add your production domain to the backend's allowed redirect URLs if you use email links.
Files instead of a URL?
If your AI tool exported HTML/ZIP rather than a hosted app — a single-page tool, a game, a calculator — skip hosting and use HTML & ZIP to APK.
FAQ
Can I turn a Lovable app into an Android app?
Yes. Publish it, copy the live URL and convert it with Website to App. Fix Google sign-in first.
Do I need to export the code?
No. A URL app loads the hosted version, so you keep editing in your AI builder and the app updates.
Will Play accept an AI-built app?
The tool used doesn't matter; the experience does. See Play policy for URL apps.
